Install the Mac Companion

Download MacLift_Mac.zip
Click "Download Mac App" above. Save the zip anywhere — Desktop is fine.

Unzip and move to Applications
Double-click the zip to extract. Drag MacLift_Mac.app into your /Applications folder.

Right-click → Open (bypass Gatekeeper)
First launch only: Right-click → Open → Open. macOS blocks direct downloads once. You only do this once.

Allow permissions
Allow Local Network and Accessibility when prompted. Both are required.

Look for the icon in your menu bar
MacLift runs as a tiny helper. Click it to see the PIN and connection status.
⚠️
macOS security warning is normal. Because MacLift is distributed directly (not via the App Store), macOS will warn you once. Right-click → Open → Open to bypass. The app is notarized by Apple and built by Guillermo Alarcón at Meta Studios.
Connect your iPhone

Both devices on the same Wi-Fi
Your Mac and iPhone must be on the same router. Hotspot won't work.

Open MacLift on your iPhone
Install from TestFlight and open the app.

Tap your Mac's name to connect
MacLift scans and finds your Mac automatically. Tap it to start pairing.
4
Enter the 4-digit PIN
A PIN appears in the Mac menu bar. Enter it on your iPhone to complete pairing.

You're connected 🎉
Your app grid loads automatically. Tap any icon to launch or minimize that app on your Mac.
